Art Show in support of 
THE CALGARY HUMANE SOCIETY
MY BEST FRIEND AND ME

 

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE A PAINTING OF YOU AND YOUR PET FEATURED in an art show and fundraising event in support of the Calgary Humane Society? In co-operation with the society a team of hand selected artists is just waiting to generate original paintings of pet owners and their pets.  This is an opportunity for you to submit your favourite photographs of yourself with your pet or your pet on their own to be painted and featured in a gala event and Art show.  Photos must meet the artists’ needs for clarity and definition. If they do not arrangements may be made to have a photo taken.  Work will then begin on your painting.

You may purchase your painting at the time of completion, approximately 2-3 weeks after it is started. 25% of the purchase price would then be donated to the society. 

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT MY BEST FRIEND AND ME WILL HANG FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2013 AT AN INTIMATE LOCAL GALLERY, FRAMED ON FIFTH, 1207 5TH AVE NW. A big thank you to FRAMED for allowing us to use their space at no charge as their contribution to the fundraising effort. OUR GALA EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON DECEMBER 6, 2013! OUR CLOSING EVENT AND CHEQUE PRESENTATION ON FEBRUARY 1.

We will show the work for the entire month of December 2013 at Framed on Fifth with a gala celebration on December 6, 2013. 

There is no obligation on your part to purchase the painting but we know you will want to. 


 Below are our basic pricing guidelines:

• Small       $300        12 x 12 inches    ($75 goes to the Humane Society)
• Medium   $580       16 x 20  inches    ($145 goes to the Humane Society)
• Large     $1175        24 x 36 inches    ($293 goes to the Humane Society)

 You may purchase and take your painting prior to the art show if you would like.

My Solo Show at Framed on Fifth

I am pleased to announce my first ever SOLO SHOW.
Hannah and Patricia and I have been planning this event for some time and we are getting excited as the date draws near.

Please join us for the Opening Reception or just walk through the show between March 5 and 27.
The gallery is open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 - 6:00 and Saturday 10:00 - 5:00 (closed Sunday and Monday)

Opening night of Youth and Youthful at Framed on Fifth was a great success. Thank you to all my friends, family, students, and colleagues who came out in such a wonderful show of support. Hannah, Patricia and Elaine were incrdible with all their hard work and enthusiasm.  As always, I couldn't have begun to do this without the unwavering help and support of my husband, Patrick.
